The 901-902 series hardware is all awesome

Nice stand. Should have got a three foot model as it is a bit jumpy on uneven surfaces. Knocks spots out of everything else at this price point though. Lots of plastic on it which is a shame, but all the big names are guilty of that at 3-4 times the price.

Clutch and internal rod is a slightly larger size than other stands I've used? Not been a problem using the clutch on other stands, but finding a replacement rod should I bend it might prove difficult.

Not as responsive as the one I use at the studio (Pearl?) but getting better the more I fiddle with it. As it stands it is basically fully closed within the first inch or two of movement meaning the rest of the pedal movement is irrelevant, further pressure just squashes the hats so it is hard to get a good stomp on it without them choking unless you get your foot entirely off the pedal at lightening speed.

The one at the the studio is closed only when almost flat on the floor and opens about the same amount over not quite the entire pedal travel so you can really stomp on it and get some volume because even while your heels are still down they are up and sustaining where as the Millennium you've really got to get your foot completely up and off that pedal.

Also it is kind of high, I'm tall and sit high, but like snare and hats low down and this stand could do with adjusting a few inches lower for me (I'm 6'2", either I drum with poor posture, or this is for giants). It isn't a massive issue though.

Surprisingly good!
Bockwurst 04.03.2020
We purchased this one to keep in the rehearsal room so that our drummer wouldn't have to tear down half of his kit every time.
He wanted a stand with two legs because the third always gets in the way. Turns out he likes this one so much he takes it with him on every gig we play.
So it's definitely road worthy, it stays where you put it (without velcro) and is easily (re)assembled.
It does not feel cheap, the pedal moves smoothly as does the rod and it has an fine-adjustment but we haven't had the need to use it.
We now have it for only about 5 months so it may be a little too early to talk about the future but it certainly looks promising. We play Thrash metal so it takes a lot of beating ;)
And at this price? No hesitation!

M
Excellent stand
Michael2128 17.11.2013
This hi hat stand is brilliant. Iv had it for over a year now and its performing as if it were new! A lot of people hesitate when buying "cheaper" or "own brand" products but this stand does not fall into that category.
-Positioning
The 2-leg design of the stand allows it to be positioned in any way. This allows me to move it for optimal positioning of my double bass pedal. It also allows my foot space to move between pedals and just gives me space in general. The two legs can swivel around too so the stand can be positioned at its stablest.
-Weight
Its not too heavy but it has a nice weight so iv never had any problems with it being too hop heavy or falling over and im using 14" hi hats which are quiet heavy and it handles them just fine.
-Durability
Iv had problems with the springs weakening and becoming quiet useless in hi hat stands before but never with this stand. The spring tension can be adjusted but iv needed to increase it because the tension has not decreased.
-Finish
It still looks as if it were bought yesterday. The shiny finish has not faded one bit even after more than a year
-Overall
I would recommend this to anyone buying a hi hat stand for any genre of playing

Solid

I bought this with high hopes from previous reviews which all stated that this was an excellent product. I was not dissapointed. I picked it up out of the box and it felt very heavy. It was a sturdy type of heavy. Once I set it up I found it was, wheen played, very sturdy. Setting it up, however, did not impress me because it felt very wobbly. It wasn't, however, the case. When played the Hi hat stand is very responsive and sturdy. The two legs aren't a detrement and you cannot feel the difference from a three legged hi hat stand. The only major gripe I had was with the width of the clutch required to fit on it. It's much wider than a standard clutch and is reminiscent of the old pearl Hi Hat stand which dont fit standard hi hat stands.

All in all thogh an excellent product I would definitely recommend!!

Great value for money and smaller form factor.
Good Life Guy 09.09.2022
The title says it all.

I needed a hi hat that take a little less space.

The 2 leg design really works out great at lowering the amount of trip hazards in my tight space.

It feels sturdy and has a lot of adjustment options.

Massive, well-made HH stand
Anonymous 09.06.2016
I use this HH stand beside my double bass pedal. You may think that a two legged HH stand is not a massive type of hardware. Hell no, I've never played on such a strong and comfortable HH stand until I bought this!

I use it for nearly ten years now and never had any problem with it. Even despite of the uncountable weekly travels between my home, the stage and the band's place.

It stands firm, no matter what type of surface are you playing on. The velcro keep the stand on the carpet, and the adjustable spikes keep you on the wooden stage. You don't have to worry about it really, it stands firm like it's taking a root.

You can easily set up the stand comfortable for your double bass pedal, you can set up the tension as you like, the angle of the bottom hi hat, so basically everything you would expect from a professional stand.

For this money you get a decent HH stand. Much better than the other stands in it's category for you have to pay much more money because of the brand markings.

Very good 2 legged HH stand, good price on it, would buy again.
SIDENOTE: the stand will be a little inclined, but you get used to it very fast, and if you don't, there is a little thing you can twist in order to straighten bottom hat. All in all, 100% recommend if you are using double bass pedal and want to move your leg freely.

Couldn't be happier!

Fantastic quality/price ratio!!! My only issue is the complete lack of assembly/setup instructions. Other than that, nothing to criticize.
