Not great

Unfortunately, Millenium missed the mark with this one. The stand is of very poor quality. Composed of all plastic, the stand is wobbly, and difficult to place your guitar on. I bought it for gigs but I couldn't trust my guitars on this stand even at home. The only real pro this stand has going for it is it's portability or form factor. It's super light, folds up very nicely and is great to bring along with you wherever you're going, but it just doesn't hold your guitar very well, which defeats the purpose of it being a guitar stand I guess. Although it might be against your preferences for a giggable guitar stand, I do highly recommend buying something made of steel or metal to host your guitars on during gigs. I feel like a gust of wind would blow this over. You can even see how hollow the insides are. It's just cheap plastic. Shipping and delivery were great though. Fast, prompt and well packaged, with tracking information provided by email. Thomann appear to be very reliable and although this particular stand isn't their best offering, I can vouch for Thomann as a company and service.

Poor stand Millenium but good job Thomann!

The stand is very unstable: when he put the guitar on it, he turned it all around, the guitar was unstable on it. The stand might be suitable for an acoustic guitar, but it’s completely unsuitable for an electric guitar, let alone a bass guitar.

P
Very disappointing.

Unstable and therefore unreliable and therefore unusable. I too had the problem of carefully placing, a heavy bass guitar on the stand and finding it lying flat on the floor face up 5 minujtes later. No damage, but not to be done again. Maybe things would be ok with a lighter weight acoustic instrument, but I would really not recommend this item.

Not suitable for electric guitar :(

Electric guitar is little heavy for this stand. It works, but I would recommend it for emergency use. For acoustic would be great I think.

Not worth it

This is one of those brilliant ideas, but with a poor outcome. all my guitars tend to slide off them until they fall off. It works a little for my acoustic guitar, but only because it's not very heavy. I would not recommend this for any electric guitar

Pretty disappointed about this one. Quality is not fantastic, not the most stable stand. I bought it to take it with me on rehearsals, but unfortunately, when I place a Les Paul in it, the strap button touches the floor. Very annoying, makes scratches or ont the floor, or on the button. So at the moment I use it at home, and I put two pieces of isolation underneath the bottom, to make it a bit higher. It is useable, but stil not ideal. Wouldn't recommend it.

This stand folds up fairly compact and is very lightweight. Thus endeth the positives.

It's quite flimsy and twisty for a guitar stand and, because it's so lightweight, it over-balances very easily, meaning your delicate and precious guitar is much more likely to hit the ground than with most other guitar stands I've used. I eventually gave mine away, as simply having it around my studio made the possibility of a damaged instrument more likely.

I'd recommend the Millenium GS-2005 over this any day, as it's also lightweight and compact, but is quite a bit more stable. I use it in my studio all the time for clients to put their guitars on, and it's fine for light duties.

If you want a REAL guitar stand that folds up, go for the Hercules Stands GS401B. Although relatively heavy, the Hercules stand is extremely high quality, quite compact and very, very stable.
