Millenium CBS-718 Stage Boom Stand - get the pro version.

a good, stable stand. it holds my crash in place very well and doesn't suffer from wobbling or instability. it did, however, have a knob break of the first time i used it. it is easy to position and stable. but don't bother with it, it will probably break. i recommend the Millenium CB-801 Pro Series Boom Stand, here on Thomann. it is every bit as stable and easy to position. but for only £10 it will be far more reliable than this. i have used both and heartily recommend it.

Risky purchase

These cymbals stands are not very high quality and I know from a friend that his stands broke quite quickly and sometimes in the middle of a rehearsal.
I felt right away after receiving the stands that they seemed fragile. So, I've always handled them very carefully, and none have yet broken for me after more than a year.
The arm can be made to stand up straight, which makes it a bit more sturdy. I would recommend to use it this way only. Or, only use it for very light cymbals. Never a heavy cymbal, like a ride.
Make sure to move the boom arm when adjusting the tightness, so that the arm really gets tightened or you might find the cymbal suddenly flipping over.

Would not recommend! Poorly built material that dents easily if attaching mounts or anything to it. Difficult to adjust, especially the part that allows you to tilt the cymbal, its a bit stiff and is also not very secure when you manage to get it into the position you want.
The benefits are that its quite a large stand (the boom espeically) so placement options are quite open, also when the legs are spread it is quite a sturdy stand. However these are the only plus point for me. I would recommend spending a bit more and investing in a "branded" product instead of millenium.

Cheap and weak

The stand was supposed to be good enough to match bigger brands in a lower cost, but it is really not good at all.

Be aware this is for little cymbals, and the felts are simply ridiculous small to hold tight any cymbal at all.

Sorry to be negative, but it is not good. At the end of the day, made in China in the box says it all...

Borderline useless

Broke after a few gigs. Boom is utterly useless, can barely hold a cymbal. I use the bottom these days with the top from an old straight cymbal stand. barely holds together.

This is false economy. I would just save up and buy a decent stand. Even a lower end one from another manufacturer.

Not very good

I'm pretty disappointed with the quality of this boom stand its not very stable and the screws feel loose and small under your fingers and the swivel hinge at the top of the boom is very loose. I would only recommend it to someone who would be putting a splash on the stand. DONT try putting something bigger than a 16" cymbal on it with the boom extended over halfway
