Good standard didge with drawbacks
Giftfreschdidge 18.12.2019
I own several highest quality didges. This is not one of them. But it is close! It doesn't compete with a duende didgeridoo, but well what does ...

Playability

The small and smooth mouthpiece doesn't need any wax. The tight opening behind the mouthpiece makes hard push sounds and high frequency content creation easy. It adds to articulation clarity. Backpressure is enormous, so it's VERY easy to breath and play effortlessly and quickly.

Sound

To trained ears this didge will always be recognizable as not-hardwood. But to the majority of people its "80% max performance" sound will be a joyous surprise given the material. It sounds better than most of the market. Versatility is certainly there; loud, silent, aircode, articulate, contemporary, classical, it all has its place on this didge. Also, this is a loud tube, so good for busking.

Build

This is hand-made. Out of the five I own, no two are alike. And there is variation in their build quality. One has dents in the outer shall. Another is losing the ring on the bell-end quickly. Mouthpieces aren't normed it seems, so it's a bit of a gamble to get a good one.

So?
Get one. With the price, can't go wrong really.

bestest value for the money

A fiberglass yidaki, around F.
Weight is solid, not the heaviest but the walls are pretty thick, the look is quite impressive and it's a solid workhorse, easy to play, the toots come with almost no effort, the mouth is too me just the right width, and it goes thinner a bit like a trombone mouthpiece.
Dents can be obvious as below the dark finish they leave a clear spot.
It's an unbeatable yidaki for the money, doesn't need much care and handles extremes conditions compared to a wooden stick ; phases sound excellent. Overall the sound might be a bit synthetic compared to an excellent wooden stick but only a trained ear will note and it's all about taste. To me, it's perfect, I'd totally buy it again if needed.

Sound is very poor. It sounds like an unpleasant horn rather than a didgeridoo.

Very easy to play though.
I had a faulty didge which stored the spit inside the didge and it started to smell very very bad after a while. It was impossible to clean so I sent it back and got a refund...

I don't recommend
