We needed to convert a 1/4" thread to 16mm spigot, so we could attach a small light to a Doughty Engineering Knuckle Joint (their code G1155). This adapter was perfect for that - small, relatively cheap, and machined from solid brass. The barrel of the adapter has flat sides, which means that you can get a good 'lock-off' for the thing that you're connecting it too.
I did find other similar products on the web, but they were either more expensive, or not available in single quantities. I'll put a few of these in my tool kit to get me out of a jam in the future.

Der Messing-Adapter 31 x 15,7mm ist sehr sauber gefertigt, leicht satinierte Oberfläche. Keinerlei Metallreste etc. .
Funktion: Der Adapter hat an beiden Enden zwei Rundsockel 5/8 Zoll mit unterschiedliche in der Photographie gebräuchliche Gewinde 1/4 & 3/8 Zoll. Längsseitig ist ein Viertel des schlankeren Mittelteils abgeflacht.
Dies dient als Sicherung gegen ein Verdrehen in z. Bsp. einem Manfrotto Rapidadapter 014-14 und funktioniert ausgezeichnet. In diesem kann der Adapter komplett bündig versenkt werden. Diese Kombination verwende ich als Schnellwechselsystem von Mikrofonen an Tonangeln oder Stativen. Der Adapter lässt sich gut mit dem Manfrotto Adapter Spigot 147 3/8" + 1/4" kombinieren. Beide Gewinde sind genau und leichtgängig geschnitten und so besser als die Produkte von Mitbewerbern. Aufgrund der exelenten Fertigung ein Stück zum vererben.

Permet d'installer la barre de couple de même nom sur un pied de micro standard. Bonne fabrication et est très résistant. Ne bouge pas du tout une fois installé avec les microphones.
