Great headphone amp overall.
S Recordings 17.04.2021
As with its 4 channel brother, this amp is very well built, has a great sound extremely low self noise level and great price. You can switch between two main inputs which is very effective, but the only thing missing is the main input option along with its level knob on the front of the rack (which the HM-400 has), thus the deducted point. Otherwise its a bargain at its price range!

Wow
Metralon 13.10.2019
Great value for money, decent build quality, pro sound, LOTS of power ..
And I was amazed at how cool the lights are on this amp. I'm not a fan of that toxic green, but man it sure looks the part. Highly recommended.

AP
Simply a great 8-channel amp
Anton P 08.08.2023
Excellent for being an 8-channgel amplifier. Lots of power and can easily drive high-ohm headphones. I've been using it for cable-bound in-ear amplification to multiple musicians and you never run out of amplification power with this one. There are better sounding headphone amps (to compare: the HM-800 is better than a Focusrite 18i20 headphone amp, but worse than RME UFX headphone amp), but when 8-channels are required it is a solid choice.

(Tested using Shure 215/535 in-ears, and MX-50s + Beyerdynamic DT-800 600 Ohms headphones).

P
A versatile headphone unit
Powerful 13.07.2021
I've had this unit for around a month now and it definitely has some kick, no issues regarding power here!
The chassis itself is clearly robust, I think it'll be going strong for some time to come. The only criticism I have is that it's processes seems overly complex, I have eventually set up in my studio how i intended, but not without a few "oh no, i bought the wrong equipment!" moments.
