Cheap but not so cheerful
I was looking for a way to control the volume of my powered monitors. The main monitor knob on my Focusrite audio interface controls the monitor vol and the the headphones. Don't ask me why!
When the Mackie big Knob arrived I had been working on a track for a couple of days so I was very familiar with what it sounded like. When I put the Mackie in the chain I was expecting a drop in volume - not a problem - but what I got was the volume loss and a loss of clarity which was bad enough for me to think to think I might have used a duff lead.
Although the Big Knob did exactly what I needed, I couldn't live with the sound quality. Returned.

It supports only two channels
You can monitor only two channels at once. Either pair A or pair B(there is a select button, default is pair A). If you need to set the gain/volume for 4 channels at the same time don't buy this. It doesn't support 4 channels at once.
