Excellent analog mixer
Tugdual 06.02.2021
I wanted a compact mixer with a decent number of stereo inputs for a few synths. This mixer totally fulfills my needs and also adds 2 effect inserts which allows me to use better effects than the average ones generally fitted on mixers. The sound is really good with deep headroom, very little noise and excellent pre-amps on mics. There is also the very interesting use of the Mute buttons that actually redirects the lane to output 3-4 that you can use to record one track for example. The mixer is built like a tank and is heavy which might me a problem if you want to carry it. I have only one regret that is the PRE/POST on effect is only mapped on effect 1, the second 2 being permanently POST. Other than that I recommend this excellent mixer

I use it for my live acts. It's unbeliavable how many features Mackie managed to include in such a small mixer. I gave 4 stars for quality just because pots are not mounted to the chassis.

Small but powerful
Veejer 10.08.2022
Despite the small footprint this is a very good analogue mixer with great audio quality and many routing options.

I use it as a submixer to send to effects and I use the aux outs and the alt out to record separate tracks of my submix. The pre-amps are fine and the headroom is more than enough. Build quality is very good as all Mackie products.
I believe the price is very reasonable for what it has to offer.

Very portable and convenient this little mixer will save you on many occasions.

A good mixer

Good small mixer. Easy to set up. Don't use it for mic inputs, but they are probably fine. Quite low noise.
There are few things about it that are weird:
Only Aux 1 return accepts mono, but there's written mono/stereo on both returns.
Another thing is that it's not possible to listen main mix with headphones - only pre fader audio.
Those limitations are not that important to miss.
