For a beater guitar, it is pretty to look at, sounds decent, and is easy to play
czuo 18.06.2024
I got this guitar about a month ago and feel almost compelled to write this review.

Background:
I am a beginner. Among other string instruments, I already have a Spanish concert model guitar (around €2000 with the case). I wanted a beater/travel guitar that is low maintenance. Unfortunately, the amount of information/reviews of this model is rather limited. The only YouTube review I could find is this one in Russian: :
It looks classical, not modern.
Real wooden rosette: simple yet pretty and not pretentious.
Gold-plated machine heads with relatively good action (no play whatsoever).
Carbon neck (Carbon Reinforced Toona Kalantas), with a pretty dark red color and grain.
Low maintenance, gloss finish (extremely well finished, no visible flaws whatsoever, one small discoloration on the back under the varnish, virtually invisible).
Gloss finished bridge.
Fret marking on the 5th and 7th frets.
Overall, the color is very pretty (neck and back are reddish, not brownish), though this is subject to personal preference.
Frets are not sharp at all, properly filed even with binding on the fretboard.
The heel has a very special curve (which is pretty in my opinion).
High playability, very low string action, extremely easy to play.
Nut and saddle: Bone.
Nice maple binding and laminated purfling, again, simple yet pretty and not pretentious.

Cons:
The neck is relatively round; personally, I prefer a flat neck.
Not really a “con,” but since the action is low, the sound (depth, volume, sustain) is obviously thinner compared to concert models. However, it is still very decent, especially for the price range.

Miscellaneous Information Not Found Online:
Solid cedar top, yet no strong cedar scent detected around the sound hole.
Overall length: 100.3 cm.
Weight: 1332 g (very lightweight).+

Conclusion:
For a student model, I consider it very well made (design, color, materials, manufacture, finish). It is a real instrument, certainly not a toy. Most importantly, in my opinion, the sound is decent in general. It is not fair to compare it to an all-solid concert model (which has a high marginal cost). For a beater guitar, it is pretty to look at, sounds decent, and is easy to play.
