Good, but not excellent.
I recommend all sound techs have at least a couple of these nearby. Clamping it to the rim of a drum is easy and it doesn't get in the way of anything. It's perfect on snare drums and toms where getting one or two mic stands in between cymbal- and hihat-stands is troublesome. However, due to the way this clamp is constructed it won't work with all microphones. The mic mount sits pretty high above the rim.
With for example a sm57 or similar long body type mics, it's no trouble, but with odd shaped, or side address microphones, you might find you can't get the mic close enough to the drum.
Very good, but not the perfect mount.

Satisfying
I bought these together with the Tbone DC1200 set because of the reactions on the clamps delivered with that set
The K&M's are much more sturdy and easy to mount on my drumkit. I find them a little bit more difficult to use with regards to directing my mics correctly. I think this has something to do with the 90° angle of the clamp, which in combination with the DC1200 set, is probably not the best combination (but it was my choice to make that combination).
I didn't use them a lot yet, so might be that my opinion still changes over time.

Practical and versitile!
A practical little thing to have on snares and various toms. It doesn't fit every type and can sometimes be in the way for the drummer (especially if using a Shure SM57 on a snare).

K&M Microphone Tom Clip
I bought this after getting slightly sick of needing so many microphone stands and having to deal with stands that would not hold the weight of a Shure SM58 or SM57... I ended up using it on my floor tom (16") and have not had any problems. As is to be expected with K&M, this is solid stuff! I was surprised to see how heavy the clip was but it's nice to see such little plastic and so much metal on a purchase. Only bad thing I could say is it doesn't go very far back, if you're using SM58s or SM57s, the mic, once screwed on, will end up reaching quite far into your snare/tom/whatever you choose to clip the mount on. This is why I ended up using it for my floor tom... Other than that this is a great quality clip that does what is says on the box, keep in mind a microphone clip is not included, only the rig that will hold it is. Would recommend.

Great, but not always works
I love the K&M 24030, it fits perfectly in most of drums, like toms and snares, and the distance from the mic to the drum is ok!, so you can grab the punch and also a bit of the developed sound of the drum. It didn't work on supraphonic snare, I'll have to get another one to use on it.

Good for smaller factor mics
Typically well-made product from K&M
However, it is only suitable for smaller mics - larger mics such as the SM57 cannot be correctly positioned near the edge of the drum

No nonsense clip
I have used countless variations of drum clips, this one is up there with the top five. It works for the majority of drum rims you'll find, just not the slightly rounder edged drum rims that can crop up (forget the technical name). Otherwise, great K&M build quality.

Clamptastic
Great little clamps, easy to use, robust and sturdy. These live on my drum kit in my studio for recording and I've had no problems. I only wish they were a tiny bit more adjustable hight wise, and maybe had a slightly longer bracket as I can see they might not be a great fit for some mics. But for most, they will be perfect.
