Resurrected a cheap microphone stand
I bought this to replace a broken boom arm on a cheap but otherwise-good Millenium microphone stand. Although the original Millenium boom arm wasn't of great quality, the rest of it was pretty decent for what it cost.
This boom arm is solid and very well made. It has a decent amount of weight. The adjustment knobs and screws all seem pretty rugged and hold the arm in position well.
Although it cost more than the original stand+boom arm together, I think it is still good value for money for the quality it offers and is a great upgrade to the original stand.

K&M is a very consistent brand; they don't put out bad products! This boom arm is very nicely priced, and most importantly is very rugged and sits on a stand perfectly. Also, the lever is of high quality and isn't loose like in many other budget boom arms.

Multi functional telescoop.
K&M provides the best stands on the market. On stage or in professional studio's. You'll find them everywhere. I even have them at home to do some recordings and to hang some laundry on. No con's. The telescoop is strong and durable. Perfect for perfect microphone placing, and the quickest drying times. The best!

I've been using K&M stands for years, and you just can't go wrong with them. No cons, all pros. Great boom arms from K&M.

Still sturdy after 3 years of use
I'm using this boom arm with a regular dynamic microphone over a piano so I very rarely need to do adjustments. The vertical microphone stand bit that it's attached to is a keyboard stand accessory.
While a twisting motion when tightening can be very unpleasant on your wrist, the angle adjustment handle is easy to grab and do height adjustments with.
Some boom arms become loose so the arm starts to gradually drop and it won't keep its position, but I haven't seen such symptoms occur so far.
Sure, I haven't caused this boom arm nearly as much wear as it would probably have to withstand with a user who regularly packs it up or uses it in multiple different setups that require constant readjusting, but in this rather stationery setup it continues to hold its position steadily.

High-quality boom by H&M
Possibly the best mic boom I could get. Very solid, sturdy, gorgeous, made-in-Germany. Length can be adjusted in 2 ways. With one knob you move the "counter-weight" part of the arm, with the other knob you only move the thinner part of the arm, where the mic attaches. This way you can counter-balance the weight of the microphone by pulling out the other end of the arm. Excellent!

No regrets
K&M has been the industry standard for years for a reason: high quality, robust gear at great prices. There might be cheaper options here and there but in my experience K&M hits the sweet spot when it comes to the balance between quality and cost.
