This is a reliable and highly sturdy stand. That's part of the problem though, it's a little heavy for transporting around. It's very well made but the arm is a little too solid for me. I'm using a 10" tablet and this holder really is designed with the largest of tablets in mind. I am using it in portrait mode with my 10" tablet which is very good. However the rotation is only 90 degrees and I'd like to have it a few degrees right of centre but you can't which is frustrating. 180 degrees of rotation would be better. The rotation joint is also a bit large for fitting in a pocket of a bag, very well made but just arkward to travel with. However I'm happy with the holder and it is excellent quality. Suits the upright of a stand but not the boom arm as its too heavy. Basically it's great for 14" tablet I think. I have not actually tried it though. My tablet is 10".
