This bass is fantastic.
Mine had minor issue though which was one of the tuners were a bit sloppy, but Thomann stepped in with a solution, not the greatest one but worked out, an discount on different kind of tuners which allegedly were supposed to be direct fit, but where not... but that has nothing to do with the bass itself.

The neck on these basses is fast, and you can get some low and beautiful action (string height).
So far I´ve been using 45-105 strings (DR black beauties), not just for the look, but these strings just deliver and I like em.
The bass seems sturdy and well made although the pickguard could have been fitted a bit more nicely.
The pickups and the preamp in that thing is fantastic!
Deliver fantastic sounds and is very versatile.
I did change out the pickups though for SD Quarter pounds, using same preamp.
The QP´s definitely are hotter, and have more punch, growl and "throat".
But better?
Not really, I wouldn´t say that, just different.
The bass isn´t any better sounding with the QP´s.
The original pickups deliver fantastic punch.
I was playing a bit in Standard C tuning with the originals, and sounded absolutely gorgeous.

Well done Jackson, well done Thomann.
But Jackson... you may amp up your quality control just a notch....
