great starter guitar
If you're just starting out then this is a great choice. It of course doesn't cost a lot of money which you can also notice by the quality of the guitar but like I said it's a cheap guitar, you can't expect it to be perfect.
It sounds great but the playability might be the most noticeable downside to this guitar. The frets are sharp around the edges and kind of rough on the surface (annoying during bends for example).
All things considered, a great guitar if you don't want to spend a whole lot of money. Would I recommend it? Yes, but don't forget about the cons like fret buzz, knobs that don't turn smoothly or the cheap electronics.
So I discussed a lot of downsides of this guitar because, let's be honest, that is why you're reading the reviews but I really do think that it is a great guitar for the money.

My first guitar
Well, it is a very good guitar for beginning.
pros:
- very nice feeling on neck
- I love the clear and clean sound on S.C. pickup
- It's tone per overall is more than 4 stars, but lest than 5 (it still doesn't feel like a music man or whatever)
cons ( these are minor details )
- The tremolo and the pickups are ok, but not the best (except this one, it is a major)
- there is a lot of dust that gets onto the pickups
- a very heavy guitar (not the genre, literally heavy)
- fingerprints easily
Notice: Even though it does not have a Floyd Rose bridge, it does not seem to get out of tune pretty easily (and I use the whammy bar pretty often).
Also, putting sitckers all over the guitar should get rid of the issue with fingerprints.
In conclusion, if you are playing as a hobby, it is a 5 stars guitar, if not, it could be even less than 4.

O EXPECTED BETTER
I had in 80's a original Ibanez from Japan thats sounds amazing and this actual guitar probably reached 60 per cent of the perfomance in comparison to my old RG140. But for beginners it's superb. For professionals not at all

Good start for the beginner
One of the standout features of the GRG170DX-BKN is its playability. The slim and fast maple neck, combined with the smooth rosewood fretboard, makes it incredibly comfortable to play.
Despite its budget-friendly price, the GRG170DX-BKN doesn't compromise on quality. It's an excellent option for players who want a reliable and great-sounding instrument without breaking the bank.

Definetly costs it's money
Very comfortable to play, i like that fingerboard, that quite wider than usual. Sounds very well, if you meant to play something heavy, awesome pinch harmonics with this guitar.
Little issue with 1st string ? it jams on thresholds.

Great guitar for the price
For someone who wants just a nice and solid electric for a good price - this is it.
Now I do have to mention, that using the vibrato bridge stick does untune the guitar a lot faster than you would expect, but, if this is the price you pay for the guitar, you will probably not use the stick that much or it will be a really good cheap first time feel for it.

Good for the money
Great guitar, very playable and very comfortable. The neck and fret size is almost spot on, this would suit most situations. Great for learning, studio or possibly gigging as it seems sturdy enough. If I was to really nitpick its only flaws would be the volume and tone control are a little restricting (only a little) and there were a few small paint flaws around things like screw holes etc. These are only very small concerns and for the price this is a great guitar.
