great bang for your buck!
Jinish 24.11.2024
I recently picked up the Harley Benton HBCA-7D-A D-Style Capo, and it’s been a solid addition to my gear. Here’s what I think after using it for a few weeks:

What I Like

1. Great Value for Money:
For its price, this capo delivers excellent performance. It’s affordable, but it doesn’t feel like a cheap product at all.
2. Solid Build Quality:
The capo has a durable metal construction that feels sturdy in hand. The spring mechanism is reliable and offers a consistent grip on the strings without requiring excessive force to use.
3. Easy to Use:
The D-style design makes it simple to clamp onto the neck and move between frets quickly during performances. It works smoothly with both acoustic and electric guitars, as advertised.
4. No Buzzing:
One of the standout features is how well it holds down the strings without creating any unwanted buzzing or muting, even on thicker acoustic strings.

What Could Be Improved

1. Tight Spring for Some:
While the strong spring ensures a firm grip, it might feel a bit stiff for players who frequently reposition their capo. This isn’t a dealbreaker but worth noting.
2. Fit on Wide Necks:
It works fine for most standard acoustic and electric guitars, but for very wide necks, like 12-string guitars, it may feel a little snug.

Does the job well!
Anonymous 27.03.2017
I ordered this capo at the same time when I bought my Takamine Pro Series 7. It has a quite fat neck, and the capo behaved just as expected!

I use this Capo with two other acoustics each one with very different necks, and it does what it is supposed to do. No complaints.

Pros
It is lighter than its structure and size would suggest.
It is easy to open with your left hand! I have another one much more expensive, and it is very hard to open wide enough to position on the neck. ( I have to use my right hand for that. Not handy at all).
The price! yeah.

Cons
You definitely need to readjust it once you have placed it on the neck, otherwise, you will very likely hear some buzzing from some of the strings. However, do one little correction and you are done.

There are many fancier and better-looking capos out there.Which are way costlier. I would recommend this one for entry level guitarists or those who don't use it too much. Like me.

AN
A tight gripper
A. N. 25.08.2019
Pros:
- Feels bulletproof

Cons:
- Grips the neck VERY tightly. Will throw off tuning and sometimes intonation when clipped on the guitar.

As long as you expect to re-tune your strings after clipping this on, you should be happy with this capo.

Absolutely worth the money
Sven R. 853 09.05.2014
I usually dont use capos, but I wanted to make a cover of a specific song that uses them. So I bought a cheap capo to try them out. This capo does everything that you would expect from it. It is solid build quality, very soft to the guitar and is very easy to handle!
It took me a few tries to install it in the right place, so that the tones werent off. But after that it is very easy.
My product had a few rough parts that I had to go over with a file to smooth them down.
I Would buy this again!

Nice Product Does the Job.......
Sabbir 24.11.2015
My First Ever capo :), The Reviews i read over here sold me over it. It doesn't have a neat and clean look but doesn't feel cheap either, it is able to do what's it suppose to do. It has a good grip to it. Feels Rigid in hand, and it needs some strength to put it on, which i feel is a good thing. I haven't had a capo before so, won't be able to compare it to anything else, but i think the spring last for long.
The only con i have with this is the length of the capo arm. when i put it on over 9th fret, it's take quite use to to get over it. but i think little adjustment on ending the capo arm just below the neck does it.
Anyways, i loved this product, and would recommend to anyone who is looking for a cheap alternative to expensive capos.

I needed a capo for band practice so I bought the cheapest, decent looking one on the site and honestly, it does the job pretty well. Couldn't ask for anymore at this price tag.
