Easy peasy setup tool
Emile Michel Hobo 05.03.2020
I bought this Capo to help me with setting up my guitar, more specifically the action or string height. You capo on the first fret and follow the manual, which you can find online and also in the bookstore. If you want a really elaborate one, I recommend Dan Erlewine’s books. To me it’s a maintenance tool only, I don’t capo my guitar for chords, because I don’t really play them or not on all strings. I have no experience using it as a playing tool.

D
Simplest and cheapest possible capo
Domenicaccio 29.11.2021
Can't easily beat the price of this capo, which nevertheless does its job on both acoustic and electric guitars. It might not be immediately intuitive how to operate it, but once adjusted for the proper tension, it just works, and has a nice diminutive incumbrance compared to other capos.

The only downside is that after a while the strip can slip and the capo needs to be tensioned again. This hasn't occurred to me while playing, but can be noticed in between days, so it is possible that the capo won't maintain tension throughout a whole gig.

Overall, quite satisfied for home/practice/rehearsal uses: 4/5.

Cheap but Functional
BillDL 21.08.2020
A much cheaper, but slightly lower quality, version of this traditional type of capo made by the company with the same name as car tyres. This kind of capo has always been a bit more fiddly to use than the spring-loaded or metal lever type of much more expensive capo, but I like them because they do not get in the way of my fretting hand if you adjust the strap so that the plastic lever so that the end of the plastic lever doesn't extend beyond the length of the "shark's teeth" body. At this price you can have a capo in every pocket of every gig bag, in your car, and anywhere else that you might want one for emergencies.

Bargain Buy at its best!
Anonymous 21.05.2014
I think this capo is very convenient for the occasionally use. This is the reason I bought it. The handling is very simple and it is also very small, so that if fits in any gigbag or even in a trouser pocket.
Also the manufacture is as good as always on Thomann. The price is unbeatable.

The capo is fixed with a cord. You can choose the position of the plastic-fastening, so that the capo is fixed tightly on the guitar-neck. The use is very simple. It's harder to explain it :)

It can be used with an e-guitar or also an acoustic. The cord is adjustable in the length you need for the thickness of your guitar-neck.

For people who use a capo more often I would reccomend a more stabile one, which will surely be more expensive.

Not solid enough
Anonymous 13.09.2014
My girl and me bought two of this capo in order to use it with a western guitar. This Capo fits any guitar we have at home (1 electirc/2 acoustic). and the preassure that the capo put on the fingerboard is enough and the handling is very easy. We used this capo heavily for about 4 month, but after this time the band of the capo borke. We ordered two of this capo the other capo boke also after 1 more month. We were not happy with this capo and ordered a solid capo. We would adive not to buy this capo for heavy use. The band is not solid enough for this. If you only want wo use this capo ocassionally it might be good enough. Especially if you consider the small price.

Everyone should have one of these as a spare
Anonymous 21.08.2016
I got one of these ages ago and loved it. It's more annoying to use than clip on capos but it works and it's really cheap. I ended up buying two more to keep in my gigbag because someone always forgets their capo.
It's much more useful than the Dunlop equivalent because it has an adjustable strap. This means you can always get it to apply the right pressure on the strings, although it does take a bit of work.
If you gig regularly and need a capo for your set, you should definitely have one of these in your gigbag at all times.

Works like a charm
Anonymous 15.05.2014
I haven't had that much experience with capos, but this seems like a really good first capo. It's well-build, the tension doesn't let go after a while (not sure if that's even possible, but still, it's a good thing).

The only downside, which might also be a general issue with capos is that at first, I got the feeling that'd break when I put it on and attempted to clamp it on. But it got eaiser after a few times. Might've been it needed to be used a couple of times to soften up, or it could've been me getting used to the amount of force needed.

Anyway, a great buy if you're thinking of a getting a capo :)

Harley Benton HBC06 Capo Acoustic/Electric

A lot of equipment that you can buy from Harley Benton is good value for the money, but this is an exception. It's not good. I hate to say this, but it's the truth. Just buy a good capo, you probably will use it often and you'll enjoy it more!
