Harley Benton FPC-18 Flat Patch Cable

These cables are very thin and the jack plugs are completely flat. As such they can save a surprising amount of space! Besides allowing me to pack more pedals onto my small pedaltrain, they also allow me to arrange them more neatly.

I have not noticed any difference in signal quality compared to standard pro snake patch cables (also very cheap), which I replaced a while ago as my main pacth cables due to their space-consuming bulky construction. I imagine these Harley Benton flat patch cables are probably not as durable due to their sleek design, though after a few months I haven't yet had any problems. I will update this review in time to reflect on their durability after more intensive use.

I bought these patch cables because I wanted to avoid big bulky connectors, so I could maximize the number of pedals on my pedalboard (I assume that's everyone's motivation for getting these).

After more than two years of use, there haven't been any issues at all, even after about 3 re-wires of the board. Quality has been excellent, I have always used an isolated power supply with them and have not really taken particular care in my cable runs, but I have found no additional noise coming from my pedalboard (I also use a humbucker pickup so YMMV with single coils & daisy chained pedals). I also picked up an EBS flat patch cable recently because they were the only thing I could find locally and honestly the build quality is very similar, with these being about twice as affordable. I could not tell the difference with sound, noise or anything of the sort.

If you're looking for your first pedalboard cables, figure out the length you need for your cable runs and get some of these! Can't go wrong. Excellent product.
