I bought this because the many positive ratings here and elsewhere. Guess I expected too much, or I may have got a bad one. The good: It is possible to get quite good Fender tones from it. The bad: The footswitch makes a loud mechanical noise and feels cheap. The ugly: It is not true bypass, so when in bypass-mode it sucks the sound out of the guitar. And there is loud hiss both in bypass and on mode. I think the NUX Solid Studio Nux Solid Studio IR & Pow Amp Sim seems like a much better alternative, and of course 4 times the price.

From the recording perspective......
This is not a good sounding pedal. It has been compared to fender tube amps and it really couldn't hold a candle to them. It does indeed try to emulate that fender sparkle and it is only 30 euros. But Mcdonalds is cheap, would you serve it to impress anyone?
When this pedal is on all the dynamic characteristics of your guitar and amp (or even a passable audio interface) are lost. it is hard to describe what happens but it is easy to hear. It is an unpleasant deadening and compression of the sound. 2-d might explain it.
This is a 15 dollar distortion box with a 15 dollar eq. what can you possibly expect from that.
You are better saving up for a good clear eq pedal and a decent distortion box. this will serve nothing good for recording, logic pros inbuilt amps are better.
