Ich habe mir den GruvGear Fretwrap einfach mal bestellt und um zu testen, ob so ein Dampener wirklich notwendig ist. Fazit: Nein, geht auch gut ohne :D
Dazu muss ich aber sagen, wer wirklich auf einen absolut perfekten und Obertonarmen Gitarrenton für Studioaufnahmen oder auch live setzen will, ist mit dem Gruvgear gut bedient. Die Optik, bei mir in Wood-Maple, macht meiner Meinung nach auch einen netten Eindruck.
Allerdings kann ich mir vorstellen, dass in Sachen Qualität der Frotteestoff, der auf den Saiten aufliegt, mit der Zeit abnutzen und Fransen entstehen könnten.
