Dismal quality
roebuck69 27.03.2018
I bought this for my Gretsch Honey Dipper resonator. Although the guitar fits well into the case, the case itself is very poorly made. The interior is lined with cheap looking synthetic fur instead of the velvet material found in higher quality (but no less expensive) cases. This material was poorly glued to the interior of the case, and in several places the 'fur' was actually matted with gobs of glue. Despite being brand new, the lining is already pulling away from the casing and it's clear I will need to repair it at some point in the future. I would return it but the cost to ship it back to Germany from New Zealand makes this impractical. The shoddy quality of this case - in addition to the problems I have had with the instrument I bought it for - have soured my opinion of Gretsch significantly. None of this reflects badly on Thomann.

Could be better...
Anonymous 20.09.2016
The case was made for Gretsch by TKL. I bought it for what it is intended for, so the guitar fits perfectly, but you won't expect anything else, will you?
The overall quality is a little disappointing though. It?s not a high end thing, but not a low-priced one. Outside material seems to be cheap and ?plastic?, it?s got a simple plastic handle and only three locks. I?ve noticed some finish issues: small glue traces in and outside, the inside plush unglued in one place on the cover. Nothing serious and easy to repair, but for the price you could expect a little more.
I can only compare it to the standard Epiphone dreadnought case (that costs less, anyway), and, sorry to say that, the G6296 is much worse.
Btw. the inside plush is REALLY purple, nothing in common with the pictures :)

Good protection and easy to use

This case is the perfect protection when you have to move the guitar.
Easy to use.
On the inside there is a small case to keep plectrums, extra snares and a carry strap.
The " Gretsch" sign on the outside makes it easy to find the Gretsch guitar in the collection.

Solid case, nice and reliable.
Francesco319 27.11.2014
Good case, nice looking and feels stable. it is quite heavy, but that means also that you can trust it is reliable even on long trips. The handle is quite comfortable to grab and you get the impression that the guitar weight stays well balanced between front and bottom, while walking with it. I would definetly recommend this case for your gretsch resonator guitar. It is classy in its looks, and solid in its materials. Well worth also to consider to get this together with the guitar, bundles. Great deal, Thomann! Also, as a final note, i have to say that in the past I had some bad smelling cases that make them feel cheap. This is not the case. You don't have that bad feeling to smell something that's unhealthy. This one is 100% good.

Fits Gretsch resonators perfectly...

...and, as a bonus, has a nice smell to it. I'm sure there are better cases, but it's not like you really need anything of higher quality. Overall, Gretsch resonators and this case are a good match.

Good quality case fits the Honey Dipper perfectly
Anonymous 24.04.2015
I bought this case for my Honey Dipper resonator guitar that I purchased at the same time from Thomann. Both were delivered fairly quickly and arrived together. The case fits the guitar very well and has a good quality plush purple lining which shows off the guitar well.

There are three catches on the outside one of which is designed in a way that would enable a padlock to be applied to the case and is a useful feature. Inside there is a small storage compartment, large enough for plectrums and a slide.

The case is very sturdy and provides good protection for the guitar. There was a bit of a strange smell to it which reminded me of Playdough(!) but I expect this will fade over time.

Overall very satisfied with the purchase and would recommend it to others.

How can you not love that purple?! Similar to the new acoustic cases for Gretsch, this reso case is as you'd expect for your lovely Gretsch guitar. Solid, sturdy, lightweight, excellent protection. Great price.

Not much to say, not much needed, this is an excellent hard case with a very plush purple lining, the guitar fits snugly and is not over heavy, beautiful.

A great case.

This case was bought for my resonator. It fits well and protects my instrument whilst out giggig. The outside she'll is tough and it has a functioning to give your instrument a lush surface to rest on. Does everything it should. I am very happy.
