I had reservations about making this purchase knowing the problems Gibson have had in the recent past but I need not have worried.
The new Gibson Slash range of Les Pauls are built to very high standards. I cannot find any fault or flaw the finish is immaculate , the flame in the wood has you standing back in admiration.
The pickup output is very high but this guitar is meant to rock, you can always turn the volume down if your neighbours don't like it !
This model come with lots of "case candy" and even a birth picture something to add to its collectability.
This is a heavy guitar though and built like a tank so be prepared if you intend gigging with this I would advise a wide strap to avoid the pain.
Cons - The only negative I could find was the action which was a bit high for me, this I suppose is probably a personal preference and easily resolved dropping the bridge a few turns and yet no buzzing when dropped to the deck showing the quality of the fretwork.
I certainly have no regrets in making this purchase, the guitar is a work or art probably to nice to play.
One thing I would like to add buying from Thomann takes the stress and worry out of the whole process of buying an expensive instrument, these people care. Many Thanks

When I received LP, I was little bit nervous .
And I was also satisfied with the beautiful LP.
Beautiful colour and shape....made me smile.
But I was disappointed with the humbucker pickup quality.
The black wrapping tape around the pickup was not neat and clean.
It seemed to be made by beginner worker who didn't know how they attach the black tape around humbucker pickup.
However, Gibson Les Paul Slash Standard VB is still my best option.

Guitare reçue une première fois et renvoyée (projections de peinture sur la table de qualité théoriquement AAA).
Deuxième guitare reçue et conservée après hésitation parce qu'il faut bien avancer et je n'avais qu'à l'acheter en direct si je voulais éviter tout soucis. Pour cette raison je ne reproche rien à Thomann mais suis très insatisfait quant à la qualité de finition chez Gibson : un léger pet sur l'arrière du manche, traces de peinture blanche sur le bout du manche et surtout une petite rayure verticale sur toute la largeur du manche (trace d'une erreur dans la mise en place des frettes)... Pour ma première guitare sensée être de qualité supérieure et que je voulais transmettre à ma descendance une grosse déception qui gâche le plaisir (j'ai eu jusque là des guitares à 200 - 300 euros type Squier pour lequels beaucoup de choses peuvent être reprochées mais qui étaient IMPECCABLES du point de vue finition)

Zunächst ist die Maserung meiner gelieferten Gitarre nicht so spektakular, eher plaintop, je nach Winkel erkennt man dann die Flammen der Ahorndecke ein wenig. Ansonsten optisch top. Verarbeitung tadellos, erwarte ich jedoch angesichts des Preises.
Sound: definitiv eine Rockpaula, meine 1958er vos custom klingt (auch für einen Laien, meine Frau)hörbar offener und mit mehr fundament in den tiefmitten....also subjektiv "besser"...hat aber auch beinahe das doppelte gekostet...
Die Slash vermillion burst bringt jedoch tatsächlich den leadsound des Herrn mit dem zylinder ähnlich rüber (sofern das eigene können den slashtone mit den fingern reproduzieren kann). Die sog. Slashbucker verdienen den Namen.
Alles in allem 5 Sterne, das Ding macht Laune wie Sau...für modern Metalcore jedoch besser was anderes kaufen....Esp eclipse, e II oder irgendwas mit emg s oder blackouts oder so....die slash ist, wie zu erwarten eher was für Rock oder Hardrock...
