Nice sound, wonderful soft feel.

These are round core strings and they have an extremely nice, soft feel. I'm not sure how the tension compares to a typical hex core 012 set but they FEEL significantly lighter and closer to 011s.

The basic sound is more or less like regular GHS phosphor bronze, maybe a tad warmer, but the supple feel gives them a nice "bouncy" quality. They are very responsive even when you play softly. Great for fingerpicking and moderate strumming but probably not the best choice for very heavy strumming or aggressive flatpicking.

Highly recommended if you're looking for a supple, responsive set of phosphor bronze 012s that feel more like 011s.

Great balanced feel

Modified my original review. I really like these. A little stiffer than strings with same gauges but the balance is great, the heavier two trebles and then bottom E with the lighter middle strings. Loud on my new Taylor 414ce-r! I also have a set on the 314ce tuned to Eb! Really cool feel. Can bend the G and D strings nicely…

Just great

I have used the 13s set of this series, so I thought why not try the 12s as well. GHS have played with the gauges and tension and, in my opinion, managed to pull off a set which sound quite even, but does not hurt the fingers. a .020 on the G string (and the fact it is round core instead of the usual hexa core) means you can bend it, which is a big plus for me. I bought two sets, as if I knew I would like them.
