Good concert mute
Thanks to it being a bit heavier than its cheaper knock-offs, this mute offers a quieter, yet warm, sound. You need to slightly tilt it to clip it on to the bridge (this could be solved if the orifices were just about deeper, hence 4 stars on quality)

Nothing bad about it
Good quality ,easy to clip.Rests on the strings.
Its not as silent as a practice mute but its not made for that purpose.

Standard used sordine to date
Industry standard to date, mild on strings that will not break it. Affordable and good quality.

Meh I Wouldn't Buy Again - Low Quality Rubber
The level of mute is very high with this one. All the brightness is instantly gone, and the volume is significantly affected. The rubber also feels like it's going to fall apart from affixing it to the strings and taking it off more than a few times. Just feels like old rubber that's been sitting in the sun too long.

The Perfect Mute
This is my most used violin mute. The mute clips to your bridge and you can easily slide it off and rest it on the backs of the strings when it's not in use.
This mute doesn't reduce the volume as much as a practice mute of course, but it does soften and sweeten the sound as you would hope it does. I sometimes use it at home if I've got a bit of a head ache and need to take something off the full volume of the violin, especially if I'm playing an energetic piece. Of course it comes into it's own when you're playing a piece or in an orchestra that requires a mute.
It's really well made will easily last a lifetime. It's compact, convenient and extremely durable and you can't go wrong with it.

Good enough
This violin muter is good enough and work well on my violin.
The quality of the rubber is good and last long.
Reduce a lot of sound. Even make the sound warmer.
