I exchanged a Gewa Bio violin case for this one, as I was not completely happy with some of the features in the Bio series. Well, the Gewa Pure violin case just ticked all my boxes:
- Side handle has a spring mechanism that keeps it folded when not in use, therefore it doesn't move loosely or bang on the side of the case when walking.
- Straps are very high quality, with shoulder pads for increased comfort. It also has two separate anchoring points for each strap for increased stability, unlike some other models that have a single hook on the top side.
- Padded, detachable music pocket on the back side is great for improved comfort when carrying the case on your back. Also, as it doesn't go over the sides, the case is still stable when resting over its side. Music pocket is not very wide, it just about fits books/parts that are slightly wider than an A4.
- Lots of space inside, with adjustable neck support to exactly fit the dimensions of your instrument. Shoulder rest (Kun original, non-collapsible) fits perfectly in the detachable accessories pouch. Otherwise it can be held next to the violin neck using the special velcro straps on the side.
Extremely well-finished violin case overall, I would definitely recommend it.
