Now your bass has a luxury home to live in!
Anonymous 25.02.2017
This hardshell case is made of ABS plastic and built very well. Inside case, the interior is made of EPS foam making it more stable for transportation. It glued to case shell solid and there are no problems with quality.
The EPS foam is covered with plush lining so interior is soft and suits all types of bass finishes and protects instrument from being scratched. Neck cavity is designed to keep instrument tight, snug and immobile.
Cavity for body and headstock has a lot of space so there are no worries to put inside non-classy bass. In my case with custom designed instrument with quite large headsotck (like imagine to have Caparison or other ?devil horn? headstock bass with four tuners in a row) I worried that it will not fit, but did. Space is enough to put there also pack of string or strap next to headstock. It also has recess for basses with angled headstocks.
Body cavity is also good for any types of bass bodies - either it has asymmetry like Jazz bass, or singlecut.
Another great option is two pockets for pedals. Mainly it has height to fit Boss-like pedals. 3-5 pedals could fit in one of these pockets. It is good option to keep not only pedals but also some maintaining tools for your bass inside the case without worries that they will ?hang around? inside while transporting.
Latches are lockable and keeps your instrument secure. Aluminum reinforcement parts of case increase overall stability. Comfortable handle is solid and withstand weight of full case packed with bass and pedals - you won?t drop your bass on ground.

P
Perfect case. Absolutely perfect for my needs
PRGW 31.01.2022
My bass a:
Sire V2 Updated Fretless Marcus Miller M7 Swamp Ash 5 String Natural

was in dire need of a home. It's currently the most expensive instrument that I own and although I'm not going to be schlepping it around the world, I wanted a safe storage space in my home studio.

As with a lot of modern style instruments, it's never very clear which case to buy but luckily Thomann had a link from that exact bass to a suggested case. This case was it and it's absolutely perfect.

For the price it's an amazing case. Looks, good and is robust. I wouldn't feel easy taking it overseas (that's not that it's flimsy, it's just I wouldn't trust it in a cargo hold) but if you're throwing (sorry placing) it into the back of a van alongside other equipment. Even if you're stacking an amp on top of it, it feels sturdy enough for that.

Price wise I expected to pay a lot more for something of this quality. My only criticism, and it's a small one, is that the balance is slightly off, so when you pick it up, it will drift slightly down due to the body weight. Nothing that alarming or unwieldly, just a slight drift down. (Edit) I'm editing this as I've just picked it up again, and noticed that if you hold it so that the body is closest to you then the drift up makes perfect sense. It carries perfectly.

The bass fits absolutely perfectly, there's no forcing the lid shut and there's space in there fore cables and the odd pack of strings or two.

It arrived with in a few days of being ordered and in a well packed box.

Very happy with my purchase and very happy with Thomann

This is an excellent case for your bass.
kimme 18.11.2020
This case is excellent for the Harley Benton B-450 Black Progressive bass I purchased here on Thomann.

It's large an has an sturdy exterior that handles external dings and scratches fine.

Pros:
Extremely roomy for large instruments.

The weight of the case is not too much.
Hard exterior plastic.

The width is almost the same as an guitar case, so it will not be too rare to place with other instruments.

Extremely affordable

Cons:
Can be unvieldly with an heavy bass.

Place the case with your bass at the bottom of your gear haul, as it's sturdy with it's girth.

Light and durable.
aZu 11.11.2020
Excellent construction and materials, light and durable.
Very good value for money. Highly recommended, if you are looking for this type of hard case, you won't regret your purchase.

1 Tip - take a look to the same ABS hard case "Thomann" branded: same materials and manufacturing, but at a much more reasonable price, so why spend more? The internal length of the Gator case is 1cm longer than that of Thomann. Does 1 cm more or less in length make a difference? In 99% of cases I don't think so! Now that I've tested the Thomann branded hard cases, I go for these. Thank's Thomann, WE-LOVE-YOU !!!!

Bang for buck as always

Gator stuff is very very reliable, I've seen tonnes of these cases running around the city so I got one. I am writing this review 8 years after buying it and I'll happily say this is worth double the money you pay for it. Tough, Light, good latches. Not indestructible like a lot of hard cases, but this one did a round trip in the cargo hold of a plane from Dublin to Paris without as much as a scratch! While I was a little worried about that trip, I was delighted to see my precious Jazz bass was still in PERFECT condition, as was the case
Besides the big coffee stain I left on it, its still in perfect condition today!!

Amazing bass case
puga1505 13.08.2019
I bought this case to use with my Sire Marcus Miller V7 Vintage 1st gen. As some may know, the bass is among the larger basses and finding a case that fits was a quite a challenge to say the least.

This case, however, fits it perfectly. The bass fits snugly in the case and doesn't move at all, not one bit.

Pros: Great fit for bigger basses, sturdy, comes with two keys to lock the case, has plenty of space for pedals and cabels and everything else you might need.

Cons: Heavy... Can't compare it to anything else as this is my first case, but it is heavy, combined with a heavy bass and it's not really pleasant to carry it long distance if you're walking, otherwise it's just fine.

Overall I can suggest it. It works great for my bass and I have no problem with it, nor do I fear that my bass might get damaged in it.

Quallity Bass Case
JIVA DEV 06.10.2021
The bass housing is of quality workmanship, has a beautiful design and is a solid compact. The bass Harley Benton BZ-500 NT fits nicely in the suitcase as if the suitcase was made for it. The neck cavity is designed to hold the instrument tightly, tightly and immovably. The interior is nicely covered with a soft lining that protects the bass from scratches. Two pockets are big enough for a pedal, a guitar strap and a cable.

Great case to keep my axe in.
Janne T. 23.01.2014
This case is brilliant to carry my bass and all other stuff I need to have gig. Quality is very good, even here in Finland when the weather is -15 degrees of Celsius, I can handle the case rough and it's still like new. Two little compartments for tools, picks and earplugs are handy. I have two of these cases for my both electric basses. Only bad thing is, that I can load so much accessories in to the case, that it is quite heavy. Case is easy to open and close, lock does work well. The fabric inside case seems to me soft enough to keep my instruments finish in good shape.

Plane tested

had to buy a trustworthy/sturdy case for an LTD 5 string as I was picking it up from another country
it wasn't as heavy as expected, which helps when your switching airports
comes with a set of keys so it can be locked during transit
protected the bass guitar, no damage to it, even after airport handling
it now became an essential piece of kit in my eyes, would highly recommend
