Gator Frameworks GFW-MIC-0821

It does exactly what I need it to do - holds the microphone (AKD D112) iside the kickdrum. It has a nice grip on the height adjustment sleve and the base is expectedly heavy.

The thread adapter was bust from the start - we had to use plyers to get it off, it was so bent and stuck. Locking mechanisms for each axis either don't work very well or they seem like they are going to break in a second. I could accept these faults in a product costing 4 times less, but at this asking price it is not acceptable. The only saving grace is that once you finally lock it in place it is very stable and holds the kick drum mic in place at a very small base footprint - but getting it there sucks real hard. Not recommended.

Use it for podcasting. Very strong and heavy duty stand. Looks the part as well.

Sturdy and stable, I use it to mic a guitar amp which is positioned at low level and it has never given me any problems, I usually use it in my rehearsal space, but I'm sure it wouldn't give any hassle if I gig with it.

it is very nice for my use. but for someone with a need for a long arm, this doen not suite you, my friend. I have it on my desk for recording my voice and some instruments, so it is perfect for that
