Amazing for its price
MSoma 23.12.2021
First time buying a "budget" guitar, and I was not dissapointed.

The first thing that shocked me, that the bass was set up correctly (if I remember correctly Thomann is not doing set ups anymore). The neck was perfect, I adjust a string action a little for my taste but the out of box was also fine, and had no problem with the intonation as well.
No issue with the frets. They are properly glued in (unlike other "high end" instruments).
The stock strings are fresh, and they are not the cheaper ones.
No issue with the tuning stability.
The pickups sounds good for the prize, I am not planning to swap them so far.
No issue with the electronics, no cracking. Maybe I will swap the knobs, but that's just a personal taste.
The hardware also looks fine so far, maybe some bolt swap after the 3rd or 4th string change.

Overall this is one of the best, if not the best jazz bass in this price range.

Versatile bass - would recommend for any style
Aleksei T. 15.04.2020
I was looking for a bass guitar that would satisfy two of my passions: a maple neck and one that was fully slap technique ready. I couldn't be happier with this instrument. Now, to be fair, I did immediately bring it to a luthier for adjustment, but after this I couldn't be happier with it. So, a word of advice. Are you looking for an excellent bass guitar for the asking price? Are you willing to invest a bit more money
or effort (if you possess skills of a qualified luthier) to tune it up to its full potential? Then this is definitely worth checking out.

M
FENDER SQUIER JAZZ BASS 70'S CV 5 STRINGS
Mourão 03.09.2024
The bass was well packed, no damage at arrival despite. One thing to consider are some factory defects easily adjustable with a proper setup (mine just need a fret work and some adjustments in the tunners).

The only thing I do not like in this bass is the fact that they 'sell it' with a bone nut when actually the nut is made of plastic.

The bass sounds good, feels good in the hands. With some uogrades to the tunners and the bridge (for the 5th string) you can have a pro sounding bass.

B
Not for pro players
Bassplaya 30.11.2022
Bought it cause i wanted to try 5 string jazz bass with maple neck. So the conclusion:
Might be a good bass for beginner but i didn't like the sound of it. Feels kinda cheap. Also the low B string wasn't very punchy. I swapped the pickups for Bartolini's, that helped a bit but it still didn't sound good for my ears.
