Did not last long.

It seems Fender's bass strings have been sometimes quite good, and then suddenly not so good. This was one of those sets that felt only so-so when you put them on. The tone was not "great", more like "this is OK". They also dulled out very quickly, losing both top end and sustain, and then developed "out-of-tune harmoics", making the bass sound out of tune or like through a Chorus pedal.

Considering that they are not very cheap, I can not recommend them. There are better strings for the same money, in my opinion.

N
Round wound strings for my Fender Jazz Bass
Neil9166 15.04.2015
I use Fender strings on both my Bass Guitars. Round wound on my MIM Jazz Bass and flat wound on my Squier P-Bass. The Flat wound's last for ever and give that retro sound on the P-Bass. I like to change the Round wound's on the Jazz Bass regularly to maintain a brighter sound that cuts through the mix. These Fender strings are reasonably priced so I can afford to change them more often than I could if I used more exotic/expensive strings.
A good quality mid range string at a reasonable price.

An easy 5 star rating!

Excellent nickel plated strings that produce the nice warm Fender sound! They are easy on the figures and intonate really well. These gauges are quite unusual in that they are a combination of medium and light! Great value!

Nice sounding a little to hard for me

Nice sounding, slightly bright strings. The only con is that I find them a little bit too hard for my fingers.

Good strings for price
S.Elsevar 09.05.2017
Got strings for using in my stingray 77' bass. This strings always sounds sharp for me, with maple neck it sounds fantastic for slap, cutting thru.
Strings has good and balanced sound, but strings losing their sound fast. For price that offers Fender, its not a good deal.

Ive tried all kinds of strings in my quest to find all the different sounds possible but these just work, give the right balance of bassy and bright tones, well made and seem to last for a good run. Price is excellent also. cannot go wrong!

So far have tried many types and brands of strings. However, Fender ones are the winner. Nice crispy sound, nice feel. They wear out even less than more expensive brands. Grab them !

Extremely underrated

If you are into NPSS roundwound strings with just a bit less tension, these are perfect for you. I tried a lot of different sets when these weren't available and I am still surprised how well these behave, sound, keep the tuning stability and age better than some way more expensive sets
