Just arrived this morning. Wow! Really impressed. My (possibly inaccurate) scales put it at 4.2Kg - it has a great weight in the hand, solid feeling but not a dead weight.
The fit and finish are pretty flawless, a really nice job. Frets are actually quite shiny with little of the usual scratchiness of new Epi's. The neck is perfect - same profile as my Epi '59 which I love. The ebony fretboard is very nice. The Grover tuners are very smooth. All the hardware feels and looks top-notch.
Out of the box the action, intonation are more than acceptable. I'll be quite happy to just tune it up and play away until I get around to doing a setup.
I took a chance on this. Always fancied a 335, but the neck "lottery" put me off as different years' of Gibsons all have differing profiles. I like a decently chunky neck and that was one of the features described for Lucille. Very glad I clicked that button!
The Epilite case is also impressive. No worries moving it around in that.
All in all, yeah. I will be holding on to this, and highly recommend it to anyone.
Great service from Thomann as usual. Arrived at my door in Ireland well (double) packaged 6 days after ordering.

Hard to beat for the money!

Pretty good guitar for the money. I believe it really depends on your frame of reference, but a solid alternative to ES-335 and clones. Is it as good? I don't think so. Does it capture the magic without breaking the bank? Most probably.
What really gives this one away is the build quality. Looks like the real thing from a distance, but closer inspection gives away the "made in China" vibe.
Definitely recommended for King fans on a budget. If looking for a top quality instrument you should look at pricier options.
