This was bought as a high-wattage speaker to my Palmer 112-cab, as an extention-cab to my Fender HR DL. I believe that the Fender combo is loaded with an Eminence speaker which I really like. It's loud and sharp and worked really well along with my old Marshall 410-cab (4 x GoldBack 35's).
I wanted a single 12" with a little extra low-end capacity. The Emi-Swamp was considered, but I settled with an Eminence 1218-speaker, as I'm not that into the downtuned sound...
The result was quite simply impressive. I have used this single 12-cab in band rehearsal, and runned it quite hard (at about 30 W on my VHT 44 Special) to break in the speaker, and both me and my bandmates are amazed at the capacity of this thing. It sounds fuller than my Marshall 410-cab, and just as loud...
Wow..!

Had a Cannabis Rex but it was only usable with a few of my guitars and amps. Changed to the Legend 1218 and now we are talking great sound no matter what I play. Highly recommended allround speaker especially for blues and classic rock. Thanks Thomann for the excellent packaging and service.

a good choice for blues

The eminence Legend are nice speaker. They deliver a mid range sound. in comparison with stock speakers from a famous british company ;) they have less of treble but for banging some solo riffs with an es guitar or a les paul the are quite good.
The speakers are easy install, the contacts for the cables are good in reach. I use this speakers in my 4x12 cabinet and due to the lack treble and the mid range sounding this cabinet is great to use for old school rock. The speakers are loud and using them with a british sounding amp you will have fun in playing some rockn roll!

The speakers in my old Musicman GS 412 cabinet was in very poor condition. I replaced them with the Eminence Legend 1218 speakers for economical reasons and that was a good choice. I got a really snappy, fat and warm sound. Perfect for blues and Rockn'roll.
I'm sure you can spend much more money on more expensive speakers but I am very happy with the result. I connected 2 pairs in parallell and the those two pairs in serial to get the perfect impedance for the 4x12 cabinet.

Very good speaker for all genres (blues, jazz, rock), probably less for aggressive metal. But I was not after that type of sound anyway.
