The Game Changer
Steven92 30.04.2017
After 8-9 years of playing guitar and using other picks (mostly dunlop tortoise medium) I decided to give these a try.

I am NEVER (at least for a long time) going back! It fit my hand and my playing greatly and I couldn't be any happier.

Pros:

- Due to the size and hardness, I can play faster and be more accurate

- Due to the hardness, both sides of the pick can be used which is not always the case with softer picks as they tend to get bent to the playing side and not return to neutral position (it is not straight anymore)

- It has a nice grip and it's hard to slip.

- It just feels so nice when using. Like you can feel the string's resistance and bounce better, which is a dream for me.

Cons:

- The only thing I could state as a con is that it is harder to use this pick for heavy rhythm playing like Stevie Ray Vaughan and similar styles.

Conclusion: Picks are a matter of personal preference, so my opinion is subjective, but I strongly recommend trying this pick because it can be a game changer.

R
Absolutely FANTASTIC pick
Rakuin 28.12.2019
Before getting this picks I played with 2mm thick picks. Don't get me wrong, they were really good, but I must say.. this picks really surprised me. I was a bit skeptical about using thinner picks, since I, of course, didn't know if thery would be good for my hand. Naturally, everything comes down to personal preference but for me this picks feel absolutely perfect: so light that I even forgot they're there, so thin I can play fast solos without accidentally plucking another string, SO RED they could generate a light of their own. Incredibly versatile for all styles of playing, much more precise than a thick pick, but again, everything comes down to personal preference. So I'd say, buy one or two and give 'em a go: maybe they won't be perfect for you, but I'm positive they will feel GREAT!

C
Classics never die
ChrisR 13.09.2017
I originally got into Jazz IIIs via the Ultex version, eventually tried these classic red nylon ones through a bandmate at the time and didn't initially get into them, even though I kept a handful around. Once I really DID go back to them though, something clicked - these picks make you play better, it's that simple. The string release of these picks forced me to lighten the touch with my right hand and means that both hands have to be 100% in sync with one another, much less room for sloppiness. They have their own unique tone and grip, and for me they really make it feel like I have one less thing standing between me and the guitar.

Even though I occasionally find a pick that I think is better or suits me better, I always end up grabbing the little red pick off the top of my amp and BOOM, there it is again. Trendy suits come and go, but that comfy old T-shirt still always feels best at the end of the day.

A
Jazz III is my choice
AlesT 26.09.2017
Since I've tried Jazz III shape picks I'm kot going back to any other shape. I use this for more warm tones, for shreding I use Jazz III Ultex.

The fact that these guitar picks are short makes them very adherent.
One guitar pick of these is very durable, so if you buy 24 it'll be even better.
The workmanship is simple but beautiful.
In my opinion these kind of guitar picks are amazing.

Industry standard!
Athanasios A. 23.11.2015
This is a very good pick. I have realised I prefer hard picks since a long time but could not see how such a small format would offer any benefit.

This pick feels very ergonomic. Whilst there are no particular grip enhancement features other than the logo print it doesn't feel loose or like you will drop it if your hands get sweaty.

I have tried a lot of picks and I start to believe that there is a sound to them and I like what I hear from the Dunlop Jazz III.

The sharp nose is particularly helpful if you pick fast and need some clarity and speed out of your picking.

The package offered from Thomman is very good in terms of value and I now think I have enought picks to run me for guite some time

These picks, despite being red, will still go in stealth/ disappear into another dimension mode if you drop them so be careful.

Overall. pick selection is very individual but for me the Jazz III is it!

Better lead lines, better pick finding on the ground after dropping
CodaSiren 02.03.2020
If you are like me and drop your pick often, this is the holy grail. A black pick on a black stage is like a needle in a haystack. A bright red pick on almost any surface is a godsend.

The pick itself is good, and people say that after getting used, you're supposed to pay cleaner and tighter. That was true for me after coming from the Tortex picks.

It works for rhythm playing too, but it's forte is for those that want to shred out ear bleeding leads.

My friends love these
Braddie 22.07.2023
Bought them for my overseas friends who ran out. They love them because they destroy every other pick within a jam session and these tend to last longer. I prefer the Jazz III XL Ultex myself but then again I can't shred like my friends.

EXcelent Control...
Al B 06.11.2020
I have tried numerous picks - and after testing and using many different weights and styles, I followed a recommendation on the Jazz III. The small size fooled me - it's superb - control is excellent. Tone is excellent and what else can one ask for in a pick? Nothing. And it's not hard to hold despite my big hands.

awesome
Vintage Wage 21.07.2019
still awesome! I bevel mine for speed and they’re so fast! I like that they’re a little more flexible than the black or ultex variants and slightly warmer sounding!
