Doepfer A-130-2

If you don't want to waste too much room for simple VCAs, this module is definitely the one to get. Not only is it super compact, but it packs some great features you won't find in many larger VCAs; for example, the lin/exp/off switch is great, and so are the attenuators for CV input. The knobs are smaller than usual Doepfer knobs, but still larger than mini pots, which is nice. A really great choice, definitely worth it!

If you just need a pair of basic, no frills, VCAs; that each have a separate audio and CV input and are separately switchable between linear and exponential then you really can't beat this, especially in just 4hp. Recommended.

Nice package for 4 HP! Perfect if you need extra VCA's and are on a budget.
Has switches to toggle between linear and exponential response, and also a 3rd ''off'' mode.
This gives it a little extra value for performance situations!
Switches are a bit wobbly and I'm not the biggest fan of the Doepfer Jack sockets but hey, you can't go wrong with this for €80!

Does what it's supposed to do. A little crammed due to the HP count, but the rubberized knobs do help.

Two VCAs with selectable response and a mute, just nice.

I like them and the sound. Have three now. Will probably explore other VCAs in future (as have enough of these), but they do the job, and do it well.

The only minus is that these knobs are too close to each other. If you have larger hands it's a bit fiddly to dial them in.

Sounds good. No distortion if you are careful.
Also a great addition is the way the cv works. It actually mixes the straight signal with the gated one in a very intuitive way for live modulation.
