The Petrucci sound
DrewGR 09.11.2017
I bought this along with the DiMarzio Crunchlab for an old Ibanez RG550 I have. The 4th signature Petrucci set if I'm not mistaken.

The pickup is good for what it does and even more. It will definitely give you that Petrucci nech sound but it can do loads more that soaring prog metal leads. I have found that it is actually a rather good blues pickup. It's not the best ever but you can get away with it pretty easily.

At the end of the day, people looking at this are either John's fans or prog rock-metal guys. For them, I would recommend it!

if your aimining for petrucci
LexLeeds 02.08.2015
packaging of the pickup is awesome, even comes with screws and springs and allankey, i mean that is pretty good, when i bought a dimarzio back in 2008 they didn't have that going
watch out and read the diagrams and specs beforehand
took a while to find the proper wiring diagrams that enable the sound i was aiming for
it's a downer that you really got to set your strings as close you can get towards the pickup so u get the petrucci thick but sharps lead sound, again it depends on soldering diagrams and quality of the soldering, rember to write on the pickup's wire before mounting
and whote looks gorgeous with satin black ..
