It's a tasty crunchy humbucker.
WeirdWizard 09.01.2020
I installed this one on a Les Paul guitar with the typical H+H combination (put this one in the bridge position).

I can say I really love the sound of it - it's quite sharp and precise when put through distortion, but the clean sound isn't something otherwordly and is mostly quite bland/usual/normal. I'd say this is the perfect choice if you play mostly rock and metal with occasional ventures into something less aggressive. I picked this one just for that clear metal tone and comprehensive "all-rounder" characteristics.

As for some cons, I think it's a bit noisy when left idle in a high-output scenario (and when you aren't acting as a ground for the electric circuit of your guitar via making body contact with strings/bridge). Or maybe I've soldered the ground wire not in the best kind of fashion - I'll try resoldering it later to see if that's a thing. However, this noise is definitely cancelled out when you play/use the humbucker actively, or just grounding the guitar with your hands on the strings/bridge.

Overall, it's a very nice humbucker pickup and I can recommend it for all of you who search for the definitive heavy metal sound.

Installed on my Ibanez guitar; bridge position
Mario guitarz 23.05.2016
This pickup rules!!! It is very smooth, low noise and superb clarity! I had EMG 85 and 81 on my Ibanez and changed to crunchlab and liquifire...more fat sound and natural sound. Distorted notes are very defined...excellent for progressive and heavy metal riffs. You need to find the sweet spot by altering the pickup height and play your favourite riffs.

If I buy another guitar, I will definitely change the stock pickups to this one!!

Perfect for Metal

I've replaced my stock Ibanez RG1570 bridge pickup with this one and was amazed with the difference it gave!
I usually play progressive/melodic death metal with this guitar.
And the sound which I had with my stock pickups was always a bit muddy.

I was astonished after installing this pickup.
The sound instantly began to sound more professional sounding. It completely removed the mud at the low end. I'm always able to have clear mids even with tons of gain.

Definitely would recommend this for replacing stock Ibanez V* pickups

This pickup sounds incredible- it's a high output pickup, but it is on the lower side of the higher output pickups. It gets fantastic distortion and an almost piezo sounding clean tone. I've been using this pup in the bridge position of my Schecter hellraiser, and I run this through a pod hd500. The tone is very middle biased, with a good amount of bass, there is a little less treble but I really don't mind because it sounds fantastic, and it still has all the bite that I need in a bridge pickup. I use it with the bar facing the neck so I get a slightly bassier tone. Reliability & Durability: I have only had the pickup in for about a month, but it seams rock solid, and I'm positive it will last forever. Handmade in new york, and its dimarzio, so you know you can count on the quality...
