Danelectro 59X12 Black

The Danelectro 59X12 (Black) 12 string electric guitar that I purchased from Thomann has a very refreshing sound. Using the pickup selector switch and tone control with the unusual pickup mix allows greater tone variation than I was expecting. The smooth slim profile neck is a dream to play and the lightweight body is a welcome change from my other heavier body guitars. Action is pleasantly low for a 12 string and the Pau Ferro fretboard is nicely finished. The P90 neck pickup and bridge dual lipstick humbucker split produce some nice sounds. Switches and controls are positive. The machine heads are very close together on the headstock which makes tuning a little more difficult but the smaller headstock looks good. Overall I am very pleased with the guitar which for the price I paid offers very good value for a lovely instrument.
