CR
Excellent for a bit of added tuning stability
Curt R 29.04.2021
I bought these on a whim, as I wanted to really see if they did hold tuning better than the standard D'Addario/Ernie Ball sets.

My Les Pauls hold tuning very well, as I have long shaft locking tuners, to reduce the string break angle, I get the nuts cut perfectly by my local guitar tech and don't deck the tailpiece to the body.

All that being said, the straight string pull guitars I own do tend to stay in tune just that bit longer. So, I stuck a set of these NYXL's on and it has improved the tuning on my Les Pauls even more. Anyone who is used to Ernie Ball Slinky's or D'Addario XL's will be right at home with these.

I didn't notice any different in feel, personally.

They're probably overkill for straight string pull headstocks, but definitely great for steeper Gibson headstock headstock angles.

Very happy with them. Will definitely keep buying.

To bright for my Ibanez RG550
piotr81 11.01.2021
I used XL strings before and they are singing after when changed to NYXL feeling is much better for sliding, no corrosion, dirt yet but they dont have that mellow sound like XLs. They are more difficult to tune and have more 2-5kHz frequecy and kind of vibrate what annoing my ears. I had to cut of high freq on EQ. Can't play to long on distortion channel and soloing. I think they are much better for clean guitar sound.

AS
Best strings I played so far
Andre Six 10.04.2020
The NYXL series from D'Addario is finally something really interesting in the strings world. I used them across all of my guitars, from Baritone metal tones to a rocking PRS in D, to a twangy Tele in standard and they have always delivered a nice, balanced yet defined tone.
Awesome in the studio - they tend to keep tuning better than other popular options and have a more pronounced fundamental, with pleasing but not harsh overtones.

It should be noted that they are quite defined - not sure if it'd be my choice for a more mellow, delicate approach.

Amazing!
Szymon 15.06.2017
Throughout the year I've been playing different sets of strings like Ernie ball, Rotosound, some cheaper Daddario's, any few more. I have bought NYXL strings to see if Daddario promises are true. To be honest I wasn't expecting something amazing, but I need to admit... These strings are just f***in awesome. You can bend them all day and night and they will stay in tune. Also I can hear sound improvement over cheaper Daddario strings.
They last a bit longer than standard strings. I would recommend them to any guitar player. I think they are worth a bit extra money, but you wouldn't regret it!
ohhh yeah... finally you also get NYXL sticker! How cool is that?
