Behringer NR300 Noise Reducer

I ordered this to remove un wanted noise from the signal chain of my guitar and clean up the signal. Also to remove string / fret noises between chord changes. The problem was that, on a battery, the pedal ASDDED noise to the signal, a heavy hiss and a faint whistle like radio interference. This was exaggerated by the dirty tone on the amp. On the power supply it was even worse. It did help remove the some of the hum of the single coil pickups, but there was too much noise, even when the pedal was turned OFF. It did not help with the string / fret noise. The body is very plasticky and poor quality. The way the unit opens to change the battery is a joke. You have to remove the foot stitch by means of a spring loaded plastic piston at each side which you have to somehow at the same time, and replacing it is even more difficult. I was afraid I would break it. I did not do the job, so I returned it for a refund ..... :-)
