The Behringer DEQ2496 Ultra-Curve Pro had been around for quite a few years now and still provides an excellent and cost effective solution.

Compared to the Behringer DCX speaker management unit, the display is clear, but like the DCX, provides a comprehensive set of facilities and acceptable audio quality. Having worked with units by all the big names, the DEQ 2496 stands out with good security features ideal for installs and environmental applications.

The unit seems to last well in installs but must like all electronics be kept as cool as possible as this shortens its life. My personal experience of over 100 of these units in live, conference and venue applications is very good but not without a few dead on arrival, which Thormann deal with efficiently.

I recommend this unit.

Excellent product. I use it dayly, mostly as equalizer on my audio system.
I own two of these and they do their job flawlessly.
It would be nice a new version with wifi and remote control.

Just what I was looking for

My studio set up is in an alcove in a corner - It's that or nothing at the moment. As a result, the sound through my near field monitors is all over the place. I bought this unit to balance out the mix in my listening position. I was amazed at how good it has been. The sound is great. The manual could be better and I was put off using it for a good while as a result of this. However, in practice, it all worked quite smoothly. Behringer are now back in my good books.

great processing but no longer supports memory card

Great tool for Speaker processing for mobile systems. But the removal of the PCMCIA slot in the latest units makes use for mobile systems a little less practical.
Presets can be stored in memory, but adding new presets or transferring between units now requires a PC/Laptop to be carried and connected.
Behringer, please bring back some sort of memory card slot or ideally a USB memory stick port.

First- as always- very good service from Thomann- delivered as promised, quickly and as expected. I bought this unit to "match" my studio monitors to my room and this unit does this very well. Setup was easy although I was forced to search youtube for adequate information and how to's. User guide which came with the unit is useless, and offers only basic information -which I think Behringer could do better job here. But in the age of internet... This toy is packed with features and details and has covered all of my request's so far. Again great unit for great price from Behringer.

It fulfills all my requirements for the needs of a home studio.
The combination of multi purpose modules in a single unit makes it more complicated in a user point of view, nevertheless, it has a user friendly interface and a detailed user manual which helps a lot.

Very nice product, sound was very saturated. Behringer have most interesting functions as: automatic equalization with measurment microphone create you equalization very quick and qualitatively, feedback destroyer save you from speaker destroy!

Had one of the earlier versions of this and this one overcomes my main criticism which was that it (the older version) could only be used as an equaliser OR a measuring tool. This one does both at the same time. You'll need to take the manual with you - it does so much!
