still on learning curve.
Very pretty and well made. Steep learning curve for first time users of Ableton Live lite. I still have not been able to get it up and running for recording, or live use. I paid for a tutorial but the guy got confused and left me a bit stranded. Youtube videos are not very helpful for beginners and there is nothing intuitive about this operation. I will persist and hopefully fulfill my expectations.

Great, almost awesome
Bought this specíficly for the endless knobs (that so many other controllers are lacking, for reasons I don't understand) but I really wish it had 16 knobs instead of 4, so that you could map them to MPC Beats without having to switch between bank A, B and C (and why is there no D?). I don't really use the sliders right now, cause they aren't 'endless'.
The great plus of endless knobs is of course that the values don't jump, and it also enables you to change a value with smaller steps than with a 0-127 valued knob (like the one on my Pro 49). For instance: now I can finally change the tempo in MPC Beats with steps of 1.
For using the MPD226 with MPC Beats (I haven't used it with other DAWs yet), I recommend:
1) Selecting 'Inc/Dec2' on the MPD, via the Edit-menu
2) Selecting 'Rel CC 2's Complement', in the MIDI Learn menu of MPC Beats
If you let Thomann know you'd like the XMM-file, I'll send it via them, no problem.
So 4 stars instead of 5 because it doesn't have 16 endless controllers - and because of the sticker that didn't come of in one go and left a sticky residu I yet have to remove.
Oh, great pads by the way, but I'm a mouse clicker, not a finger drummer :-)
