Fine for Markbass
Saoirse 06.07.2020
I bought this to see if it would work with my Markbass CMD121P - and it does the job perfectly well at a very reasonable price, pointing the bass at my face and not my feet and reducing direct contact with the floor - and it's foldable and slips right into the hollow at the back of the amp - or wherever. Admittedly, the combo isn't that heavy (just over 13 kg/29 lbs.), but I imagine it would take weightier things fine.

The wedge would seem to go well, then, with combos that are short and squat. I could see it working with squarish guitar amps too, but not with tall ones, like Fender Hotrods - or anything that is much taller than it is deep - gravity dictates that they would just fall over. I tried it with my Blues Deluxe - and it doesn't work - I also tried with Twin Reverb, and while it balanced without falling over, it just looked too much on the precarious side. But cube-type amps should work just fine.

So in my case and with its intended use for a squat combo, it definitely does the trick.

AER Tilt System

Very well made and solid. Will fold-down to fit in the amp case pocket. The angle gives a good projection from a flat surface if the amp is not being used on a stand. Highly recommended for all situations.

E
well made, however useless
Engltje 12.11.2024
I bought this tilt together with an AER compact 60-4. When I use the electric plug that came with the Compact amp it will bypass the tilt. In other words: the plug reaches the floor before the amp can rest on the tilt. Hard to believe that AER has engineered this.

Simple & effective

The AER tilt system is very simple and totally effective. It securely supports the cabinet at a healthy backwood tilt. I have used it with cabinets in excess of 30kg without any problems. It doe as exactly as advertised, what more could you ask for.

Ideal amp support
Anonymous 20.12.2015
Use this simple to put together support under your amplifier and your tone and volume will cut through the mix and get out there so much better or place it under your monitor and you will enjoy listening to yourself even better! Folds flat for the gig bag and opens out and sticks together in seconds very securely. Recommended.

Simple but effective

Not just for AER amps!
I always wondered why many floor wedges aim the sound at performers knees... The AER tilt allows you to tilt the monitor up, so it's pointing directly at you. This means you can have it quieter, which is better for everyone...
It folds flat when not in use so it should slip into the monitor bag easy enough. We also use these under bass and guitar amps, to tilt them back a little (make sure they're not going to fall backwards!) so you're not just using your legs to hear your tone. Very hardwearing, you'll wonder how you ever managed without one.
