Just wish to note here that it fits in a regular shoe bag/box with enough depth for unplugged patch cables and foam for some protection- for those who are looking for an ultra affordable travelling case like I did xxx

Dünnes Blech, wohin das Auge reicht

Ein Gehäuse mit Stromversorgung und einem ziemlich vernünftigen Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Es ist das zweite Gehäuse in meiner noch recht kurzen Eurorack-Erfahrung; von dem ersten war ich gleich am Start verwöhnt (das qualitativ hochwertige Pico-Case von Erica Synths, welches Thomann leider nicht im Sortiment hat). Da hat das blanke dünne Blech von 4ms schon eine andere Anfassqualität.

Aber was soll’s: das, was ein Gehäuse können soll, kann das 4ms genauso gut. Eventuell gehen die Modulanschlüsse schneller aus als es einem lieb wäre – aber wozu gibt es Flying Bus & Co. Durch die größere Bautiefe als bei den 4ms Pods „ohne X“ bleibt bislang kein Modul außen vor, zumal die Stromschiene praktischerweise nicht am Gehäuseboden liegend, sondern senkrecht an der Stirnwand angebracht ist.

Interessant scheint die Möglichkeit, mehrere Gehäuse in der Kette mit nur einem Netzteil zu versorgen. Die andere Seite dieses Features: das (externe) Netzteil kostet extra.

Auch sonst kein Grund zum Meckern, die Gewindelöcher sind sauber verarbeitet, das Gehäuse selbst ebenfalls. Alles passt, bei meinen Modulen lückenlos.
